Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and unforget.it ("unforget", "we", "us") for your use of unforget.it, the unforget Chrome extension, and the unforget MCP server (together, "the service"). By using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The beta
unforget is in an invite-only beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. The beta is free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything is charged, and you choose whether to subscribe.
Your account
- You need an invitation to create an account, and you must be at least 18.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't share invitations or accounts without asking us.
Your content
You own your notes and everything you save. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only to run the service for you. This includes sending it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, for example to create search vectors or write Eli's answers. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for having the right to save what you save. Saving a page, post or video for your own reference is the intended use. Don't use unforget to republish other people's work.
Connected services
When you connect YouTube or X, you also agree to that service's terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service. unforget only reads from those accounts. We are not responsible for changes or outages in those services that affect imports. When you connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app, that app's terms apply to what it does with the notes it reads.
Eli and AI answers
Eli writes answers with AI models, based on your notes. Answers can be wrong or incomplete, and may misquote a note. Check the linked source notes before relying on an answer, especially for anything important.
Limits and acceptable use
Plans have daily and monthly limits on imports, saves and questions. When you reach a limit, that action is refused or waits until the limit resets. Don't:
- try to get around limits, security, or other users' access rules;
- use the service for anything illegal, or to store content that infringes others' rights;
- overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the service;
- use automated tools to access the service, other than the extension and connected AI apps we support.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
Ending your use
You can stop using unforget at any time. To delete your account, email unforget.it@icloud.com. We may end the beta or the service. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your notes.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, unforget is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of India, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally.
